FAQ

Why is my node not receiving any tasks?

First, verify that your node is registered in the system and that you have deposited a sufficient amount of collateral in the contract. If these conditions are satisfied, consider whether the service fees set by your node might be too high. Due to our task dispatch system's market-driven nature, nodes with higher fees may be less likely to receive tasks compared to those with more competitive rates.

Is my collateral safe?

The collateral staked by a Service Node is safeguarded by the RegisterManager contract and overseen by the Execution Validator network. As long as your node operates correctly and completes its assigned tasks, it should gradually accumulate fees without risking the loss of collateral. Conversely, failure to execute tasks or any attempts to undermine the system can trigger a slashing process initiated by the Execution Validator network, resulting in penalties. Therefore, maintaining your node's online presence and ensuring its reliability is crucial.

What should I do when the node crashes or stops working?

First, prioritize completing any tasks already assigned to your node because failure to do so may result in your collateral being slashed. Next, swiftly take your node offline to prevent it from receiving additional tasks. Address and resolve the issue promptly to ensure high uptime and reliability. If the problem proves difficult to rectify, consider unstaking your collateral to cease network participation, thereby minimizing potential losses.
