Components

An Execution Validator is composed of two main components: Validator-tools and Validator-server

  • Validator-tools: This is a suite of utility executables designed to facilitate various administrative functions for a validator. It includes capabilities for staking and unstaking tokens, among other essential operations. This toolset enables validators to manage their stake in the network effectively and perform necessary administrative tasks with ease.

  • Validator-server: Serving as the heart of the validator's operational logic, the Validator-server runs continuously. It executes the core validation processes, including monitoring Service Node performance, verifying task completions, and participating in the consensus mechanism to vote on penalties for non-compliant nodes. The seamless operation of this component is crucial for maintaining the security and efficiency of the entire ecosystem.

Together, these components equip Execution Validators with the tools and capabilities required to perform their critical role in the network. By ensuring the faithful execution of tasks and upholding the system's security standards, Execution Validators help create a robust and reliable environment for all participants.
